Intermediate to advanced students - emphasis on wheel throwing Instructor - Denny Howard Tuition Cost $144 for four three hour class sessions and four open studio sessions (total of 24 hours of studio time), includes 25# of clay and glaze and firing cost. $36 per class session after first four sessions, includes 3 hour open studio session (total of 6 hours of studio time). Clay & Materials Cost (includes all glaze & firing charges) First 25# of clay included in initial tuition Stoneware - $25 for 25# (light & dark clays available) Porcelain - $30 for 25# Class Sessions - for available class times E-mail Denny at Maximum of four students guarantees plenty of one on one instruction Individualized programs developed for each student. Each student will have use of a potters wheel Each session 3 hours Only pay for sessions attended Open Studio Sessions For each class session student receives 3 hours of open studio time Open studio time is for practice and finishing work. Open studio times Tuesday mornings 9:00 to 12:00 Wednesday afternoons 1:00 to 4:00 Monday & Thursday evenings 6:30 to 9:30 Saturday & Sunday by appointment Other information Majority of work will be fired to cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere. Students will have access to over 10 different glazes. Students will have access to all studio equipment (after instruction on use) which includes; 4 potters wheels, slab roller & clay extruder. All students are invited to participate, at no additional cost, in alternative firings, including; raku, smoking and vapor/saggar firings which will be scheduled monthly. Private lessons By arrangement, $40 per hour.
